With the basic course of 8 hours you create a solid basis for your further kitesurfing skills.

In the basic course you will learn the basics of kitesurfing. The aim of the basic course is to learn how to use the kite safely on land and in the water. The basic course has a fixed starting day! The hours can then be divided over the following days or over several weekends. Prior knowledge is not required.

Important: The kitesurf basic course begins on a specific starting day. After that, the hours can be taken as you wish. It is therefore not absolutely necessary that all lessons are carried out on subsequent days!

Information for parents:
Kiting can only take place when the wind blows more than 6 knots. Please allow a certain degree of flexibility for your children.

Topics of the basic course:

Instruction: kite assembly and disassembly including launch and landing
Flight school 1: Softkite fly on land with preparatory exercises for the water up to body drag
Flight school 2: Kite handling in the water with exercises for kite control on all courses and body drag part 2 on all courses up to the water start
Theory: Safety, KVR, courses, meteorology, material science, area briefing, wind window, aerodynamics
Age: from 10 years (under 10 years only on request)

On these days, your life is about one thing every day: Kiting!

Intensive course daily 4 hours land, water training and theory. After this course you will have gained an insight into kite sport. You learn best spot in the Wadden Sea. You will be divided into groups depending on your ability, so everyone can book this seminar.

The Norddeich surfing school is one of the pioneers when it comes to kite training. Owner Michael Vogel develops new training methods in and for the VDWS teaching team and the kite magazine, which we implement at the Norddeich surf school. Thanks to our many years of training experience, we always have the right tool to take you to your next level.
Only the current models are used. We mainly use Cabrinha Switchblade series kites for schooling.

Training starts 4-5 hours before high tide

While you often struggle for hours with a maneuver without professional support, you will learn after just a few minutes how much easier it is with a teacher. He gives you tips and tricks that will not only get you ahead quickly, but also significantly increase your fun factor.

Requirements: VDWS Level 4-7

This course builds on the two previous courses. You train with your trainer from the carving jibe to the first jumping moves. If you have already achieved airtime, it can go to transition, rotations, loops or even an airpass!

The advanced course I picks you up exactly where you are at kiting. It is designed to bring you further in a targeted and rapid manner and builds on the first basic course lessons. Experience has shown us that it takes most kite newcomers around 20 hours to ride safely, hold upwind and run upwind. The safer you are on your kiteboard, the more fun, action and freedom you will experience.

Requirements: VDWS Level 2-4

This course is individually tailored to your existing skills. In this course you will learn safe kiting, jibing and gaining altitude.
